On March 4, Wang Tao, Secretary of Beijing Forestry University (BFU), visited SINOMACH (China National Machinery Industry Corporation) and conducted research and exchanges at its subsidiary China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd. Yang Huolin and Shen Ruihong attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Wang Bo, Assistant General Manager of SINOMACH, as well as Secretary of the Party Committee & Chairman of SINOMACH Engineering Group and China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd.

Yang Huolin extended a warm welcome to Wang Tao and his delegation and introduced that as a central state-owned enterprise, Sinomach Group has a broad vision for national interests, consciously integrating its corporate development into the overall national development strategy, adhering to the principle of "strengthening Sinomach's core competencies to serve national needs," and?consistently taking service to national strategies as the starting point and ultimate goal of its work planning. Yang Huolin noted that China Zhongyuan, as one of the core engineering design subsidiaries of Sinomach Group, has achieved outstanding performance in engineering consulting, design, and construction projects across fields such as cultural education and ecological environmental protection, demonstrating significant advantages; while Beilin has extensive experience in the ecological sector, having accumulated substantial research achievements and practical expertise in areas like ecological restoration and landscape planning. He expressed hope that both parties would seize this exchange as an opportunity to fully leverage their respective core strengths, further deepen pragmatic cooperation between Sinomach Group and its subsidiaries with Beilin,?and work together towards innovative and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Wang Tao expressed his gratitude for the warm reception extended by Sinomach Group and its subsidiary China Zhongyuan, emphasizing that forestry science, ecology, and forestry engineering are distinctive and advantageous disciplines at Beijing Forestry University, boasting profound academic heritage and significant industry influence. These disciplines complement China Zhongyuan's technical expertise and industrial practices in the field of ecological conservation. Wang Tao proposed three recommendations for further deepening practical cooperation between the two parties: First, both sides should actively explore the establishment of joint practical teaching and research bases to enhance university-enterprise collaboration in talent cultivation, promote deep integration of education and industry, and focus on nurturing interdisciplinary talents capable of solving real-world problems, striving to achieve "industry-setting challenges and science/education-providing solutions." Second, he looked forward to sustained collaboration between the two parties, leveraging Beijing Forestry University's expert think tank to jointly address technical challenges in forestry production scenarios and make greater contributions to collaborative innovation in ecological restoration and environmental governance. Third, both sides should leverage their respective strengths to jointly advance the implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization across countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, ensuring its successful realization and yielding tangible outcomes, while collectively telling the story of China's ecological civilization.

Shen Ruihong stated that leveraging Sinomach Group's international presence, both parties can deepen the practical application of industry-academia-research collaboration and technological innovation achievements in the global market. Sinomach Group will coordinate internal resources to provide robust support and service guarantees for their cooperation. He expressed anticipation for establishing a regular technical exchange mechanism with Beijing Forestry University, conducting targeted coordination on project development and technology implementation, thereby fostering a new model of deep industry-academia-research integration characterized by "enterprises identifying needs, universities conducting R&D, and joint implementation by both parties." Additionally, a sustained talent cultivation mechanism will be established, including active participation in campus recruitment initiatives to enhance student employment opportunities and build a pool of high-quality professionals for the industry's high-quality development.

At the meeting, Li Haixin, General Manager of China International Engineering Corporation and Chairman of China Zhongyuan, reported on the achievements and core technological advantages achieved by China International Engineering Corporation and China Zhongyuan during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as scientific and technological innovation and educational infrastructure development.

Prior to the commencement of the meeting, participants visited the exhibition halls of Sinomach Group and China Zhongyuan in succession.

Huang Wunan of Beijing Forestry University; Nan Yu,; Cao Jianhong and Zhang Hong of the supervision group stationed at SINOMACH (China National Machinery Industry Corporation); together with relevant persons-in-charge from China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd.’s in-Beijing leading group, participated in the above activities.
