The platform construction and innovation capacity upgrading project of the Hydrogen Energy Research Center in Jiangmen has successfully passed final completion acceptance, with China IPPR serving as the EPC general contractor. By delivering rigorous, high-standard engineering and professional construction services, China IPPR has established a robust hardware foundation for hydrogen energy R&D and pilot-scale technological transformation, providing reliable infrastructure support for future technical breakthroughs and industrial achievement promotion.



The project consists of a single-story Class A experimental workshop. Given the flammable and explosive high-risk characteristics of hydrogen research, under strict constraints of seismic fortification intensity of Grade 7 and Grade II fire resistance rating, the design team solved technical challenges regarding temperature stress and deformation control of the 126-meter super-long structure with a clear height of 10 meters. The design achieves deep integration of intrinsic safety for Class A workshops and flexible pilot production processes, offering vital physical space support for upstream innovation along China Energy Investment Corporation’s hydrogen energy industrial chain.

Upon completion, the base will focus on pilot-scale projects including hydrogen quality inspection, electrolytic water hydrogen production system testing, large-area membrane electrode fabrication, and demonstration of hydrogen energy R&D programs. It will be built into an integrated comprehensive hydrogen energy technology development platform that can couple conventional energy with renewable energy and cover multiple end-use energy forms such as electric power, thermal power and liquid fuels.

China IPPR will further expand its layout in the hydrogen energy industry. Leveraging its full-industry-chain EPC capabilities, the company will continue to bridge technical R&D outcomes and engineering implementation, deliver high-quality standardized engineering solutions, and drive steady, high-quality development across the hydrogen energy industry ecosystem.
